So I suppose it’s really no secret why these made the January J-List snack cut. CHEEZA! Incidentally, we are finally wrapping up the great January J-listing of ought 10 (heh) so in about 3 or 4 more snacks and 3 more Food Drops I’ll have gone through everything I ordered up. I might have already finished if I didn’t intersperse local and gifted stuff here and there but what can you do?

Cheeza might actually be a really good name for these crackers. The package says “Cheeza 51%” or 51% cheese (I confess, I got the information from another review of a different Cheeza) and darned if these crackers don’t taste delightfully cheesy. These particular Cheeza taste of delicious fungally, strong blue cheese which, I do believe fits the Gorgonzola bill. Props for a delicious sophisticated cheese flavor. I rather wish cheddar or asiago had been in stock because while I like blue cheese, I’m not a blue cheese cultist. I’d totally drink the Kool-Aid for cheddar or asiago Cheeza, I’m just sayin. If you are blue cheese’s number one fan, then these crackers are a splended example of blue cheesy crackers.

They are also a splendid example of delicious crunchity crackers. It’s a really robust crunch too, sort of like a Wheat Thin on steroids and no wheaty taste. Imagine a Cheeze-it made like a double thick Wheat Thin and coated with cheese powder that contains 51% real cheese and you might have a good idea of what a Cheeza is. It’s extremely delicious no matter how you try to describe it.

The only down side is that Cheeza are a bit expensive for the amount of crackers you get. The one pack cost me $2.20 and I got maybe a good handful of (cute shaped) chips. In contrast, Cratz cost me $1.80 for a similarly sized handful of munchies and I’m sure a fun sized bag of Cheetoes cost perhaps less. If they sold Cheeza in a regular sized Cheese-it or Wheat Thin box I’m sure you would go broke buying them.

I am at the last of my Cheeza so I will wind up the review. For the crunch, the cute cheese looking crackers and the pretty awesome cheese taste I’ll give Cheeza (gorgonzola) a 4.5 pea rating, but it’s a 4.5 rating on probation because $2.20 for maybe 20 crackers is a bit pricey.

Rating of 4.5 Wasabi Peas out of a possible 5.

[13,30,16

post-1153","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-45-peas","category-chips","category-savory
["GET
