I have, somehow, become the semi-official coffee taster here at JSFR Labratories – not that I mind! I like the occasional cuppa (or in this case canna) Joe, and I don’t mind lending my tastebuds and typing to a good cause.

And Pokka coffee is a very good little cause. I’ll start with the packaging.

The can is fairly small. It could hide easily behind the spine of a paperback copy of George R R Martin’s Game of Thrones. More reasonably sized books would have to be turned sideways. Opening the can is a cinch. It doesn’t suffer from the tightly vacuum crimped top of Hello Boss.

It has a good coffee flavor without any burnt over-roast or nasty chemical bite to it. The texture is smooth and milky without being cloying, and it lingers nicely without having any strange aftertastes. Overall, a very satisfying little drink.

And that’s where we run into the point deductions. This stuff was good. DARN good. Flavor-wise, it’d give Hello Boss a run for its money. Unfortunately, the serving size is pretty small. The tiny cans are cute, but they just don’t hold much. As a result, I’m going to have to give Pokka coffee a rating of 4.5 Wasabi Peas out of 5.

[13,17,15,21

post-391","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-45-peas","category-beverage","category-coffee","category-sweet
["GET
