\nI am under the impression that SeanWhoseNameIsNate lives by the philosophy “You have to take the bad along with the good” because these fried cookies are…not as good as yesterday’s fried cookies. For one, they are sea weed flavored which…yeah. It is true that we have had some decent sea weed flavored things at the JSFR (these are not it) so I didn’t want to go into the review with my sea weed hate on. It is also true that we’ve had some pretty nasty tasting things flavored of sea entities so I did go into the review with a bit of caution.<\/p>\n

Fried Cookies (sea weed) smell definitely sea weedy which didn’t surprise me all too much given the liberal dusting of green on the top of the cookies. It sort of looks like someone took the sea weed shaker and gave each cookie a healthy shake or two plus another to grow on. Or something. The point is that no one suspected the cookies wouldn’t taste like sea weed given the look and smell. <\/p>\n

Sadly, Fried Cookies (sea weed) lived up to every word of their name. They had the crunchy crisp of a decent (fried) tea biscuit, which I’d like to add was a very serviceable base cookie, and then they also had the dead-fish-on-the-beach flavor of sea weed. Yuck. Two of my Guinea Pigs had this exchange shortly after biting into the cookies:<\/p>\n

Pig 1: These are kinda horrid.
\nPig 2: No, not kinda<\/i> horrid, I take issue with these!<\/p>\n

I hate to say it, but the Pigs are on to something here. These cookies are pretty fishy on the sea weed scale and despite the decent cookie base and the delightful crunch the sea weed just killed it. I was going to give a pea point for the cookie and half a pea point for getting sea weed as one might expect to find walking along the ocean but a 1.5 pea rating is entirely too high.<\/p>\n
