I was in the middle of an unrelated entry when I was interrupted by the news that there was leftover ‘meeting food’ available in one of the break rooms. In this case, it was Chinese food. A huge sterno-heated tray of sweet and sour chicken to be precice.
And now I’ve got a dilemma. I’m just not that fond of sweet and sour chicken… I mean, free food is free food and I shouldn’t complain, but I prefer my pineapple raw.
At least it’s not on a pizza. That’s just too odd. Pineapple is a Pacific fruit, if I recall correctly… It’s within the realm of chance that trade between the islands and the mainland somehow introduced it into Chinese cuisine, but there’s no excuse for putting in on an Italian dish.
Except for Marco Polo I guess. With his whole visiting the Orient thing and all…
I guess that arguement kind of falls apart, doesn’t it?
Just forget I even brought it up…
