I admit it, I’m a gaming geek… Fortunately so is my Fiancee, so there’s little danger of her becoming a dice widow.
A couple ages ago a friend of mine ran an Ars Magica campaign set in the 20th century. This was no mean trick, given that the original rule system was designed for a setting somewhere in the middle ages. Many rules tweaks were required, but eventually a working system was developed.
A few years after that game ended, I decided to run one of my own in a similar vein. He was happy to forward me the house rules for Modern Ars. Meanwhile, the Ars Magica rules had been rewritten as version 4, so I did some more tweaking and updating.
Now that the Ars 4 rules are available as a free download, I figure I might as well do something similar with the Ars Moderna version 2 ruleset…
Just as a warning, I’ve been using it as something of a playground for experimenting with cascading style sheets. For now, it’s got the same setup as the ‘blog, but that may change.
