For a couple years, I’ve been part of the Smithee Awards. Basically, a viewer’s choice award ceremony for bad movies. I’m one of the video editors who assembles the show (the other one has a LiveJournal ‘blog with the amazingly appropriate user name of BadMovie). A couple years ago, I did a series of title slides for each of our bad movie voting categories. We’ve been using them for quite a while and they’re beginning to seem a little outdated. Just to give an idea of how old they are, I did the layout using Strata Studio Pro on a Powerbook 180… Technology has advanced considerably since then, so I’ve decided to go with animated titles rather than just still slides…
