Slightly tightened

I’m learning how to do various fun things with CSS and html for work, so today’s entry is going to be all about that sort of thing… Feel free to nod off anytime.

First off, I’ve done some tidying of the main stylesheet for the ‘blog. Basically, there’s no more futzing around with clumsy ‘float’ and percentage width commands anymore, just nice absolute positioning that should take care of some problems with vanishing menus.

Eventually, I hope to go to a much easier interface based on some of the nifty stuff from over at the CSS Cookbook. I really like their way of doing roll-over menus and such without using javascript.

On the software front, I’m using CSSEdit from MacRabbit software to do most of the actual editing. It’s a pretty impressive piece of shareware.

That’s it for now from me… More later depending on how work goes.
