I’m low on tea. This is Twinings “Gunpowder Green” looseleaf tea, and I’m down to the dregs and stems. I drink tea when the breakroom coffee is particularly foul.
It’s been a harsh couple of days at work. I’m scheduled to take some of my “use it or lose it” vacation time this Friday and Monday, just in time for a research conference. This has meant that the poster printer has been running non-stop since before 7 this morning, and it’s not likely to let up for a few more days.
Work-Kevin is taking Friday off too, going out of town to check out a grad school. He’s been accepted to a couple of them, and he wants to try to get a feel for the various towns they’re in without getting a tour from a recruiter. It’s weird to think that he’s going to be gone by this fall.
At any rate, the two of us have been trying to compress a five day workweek into four days so that my boss isn’t overwhelmed being in here alone on Friday. So, blogging may be a bit spotty for a while. In fact, the only reason I’ve got time to write this is that I’m doing a VHS transfer of a video project and there’s no way for it to take any less than 20 minutes to complete.
