Happy new year all! And a big “Hi” to the first reader of 2006, who came here via a Yahoo Video search looking for a 3D Hypnotic Spiral. And to the last visitor of 2005 who was reading about Speed Writing over at my Wife’s blog.
Log analysis can be fun sometimes…
So yeah. About the December Challenge… I realized in the last week of the month that I was on vacation, and that all of the posts I was doing were rushed little blurbs that seemed more like chores than writing. The quality of the writing was appalling and they just weren’t very interesting at all. So I stopped worrying about them. Which means, I suppose, that I lost the challenge.
On the other hand, I’d rather lose the challenge by not posting drivel than lose readers by churning out muck to an arbitrary deadline. Regular updates are good, obviously, and there are some people who can post updates both regularly and well, but I’m not one of them, and I’m not going to kill myself trying to become one of them.
If I’m your sole source for trivialities and blather… well… I’m sorry, but sometimes stuff comes up. I do try to write a post every weekday, even if it’s a short post. But if something comes up and I get too busy, or if I just don’t like what I’ve written, then there’ll be some times when there’s nothing new here.
