I’m pretty wired right now, and I’ve only had one cup of coffee. Of course, that cup holds the contents of an entire pot. I made sure to make a second pot for everyone else though.
It’s interesting how office coffee etiquette has developed. There’s no written Coffee Policy, and I hope there never is. If someplace is so uptight and regulated that it needs to have a POLICY for coffee, then it’s not likely going to be a fun place to work. What we have is sort of ad-hoc, but it works well.
If you’re a coffee drinker and there’s no coffee when you come in, make a pot. If you have the last cup of coffee prior to noon, start a second batch brewing. If it’s after noon and you finish the coffee, do a quick check ’round the others in the office to see if they’ll want a refresher.
