Dreaming of To-Morrow – Coon-Sanders Original Nighthawk Orchestra, 6.1 MB mp3 file.

Lonesome – Ted Weems and His Orchestra, 5.8 MB mp3 file.

A lesson is learned…

This week’s comic doesn’t blame you. It blames itself.

Columbia A1608

It’s a Long, Long Way to Tipperary – Stanley Kirkby, 6.1 MB mp3 file.

A little something in pre-celebration of St. Patrick’s day. Originally recorded in 1913.

And according to Google Earth, it’s approximately 3440 miles from here to Tipperary.

Mixed Movie Comic

This week’s comic is another mixed movie poster. A heartwarming tale of a boy, a girl, a horse, and a psychotic lunatic…

Am I Blue? – Nat Shilkret and the Victor Orchestra, 5.7 MB mp3 file

Let Me Have My Dreams – Nat Shilkret and the Victor Orchestra, 6.1 MB mp3 file

A couple of sad love songs today. No particular reason, except that I love the bandleader’s name.

A box of trouble…

This week’s comic is a little bit overprotective.

Back to the Future, the Alternate Ending

This isn’t exactly new, but it’s new to me.

I’ve Something in the Bottle for the Morning (Fu’ th’ Noo’) – Harry Lauder. 4.2 MB mp3 file.

A litlte song of drink and debauchery from 1909. This is the original 1-sided Victor purple label release. It was re-released in early 1921 as the “A” side of Victor 45205.

I think that my great grandfather must have been a Harry Lauder fan. There’s at least half a dozen of his records in the collection that I digitized.

I spent far too long working on the logo for this week’s comic

Someday You’ll Say “O. K.” – Johnny Hamp’s Kentucky Serenaders, 5.6 MB mp3 file

It All Belongs To Me – Johnny Hamp’s Kentucky Serenaders, 5.8 MB mp3 file

Two highly danceable tunes from 1927. They’re both kind of stalker-like, but in an upbeat way. Sort of like a fast, foxtrot version of “Every Breath You Take.”
