Brazillian Pudding Pocky

Posted in 3.5 Wasabi Pea Rating, Pocky, Sweet at 5:54 pm by Boo

To cheer you up in the middle of the dark end days of February, here’s something a little tropical.

I’m not sure what makes this Brazilian pudding versus German pudding or Guinea-Bisseau pudding or even regular old generic pudding pudding. It does taste vaguely milky and eggy and sort of pudding-esque but it also tastes equally graham-y and white chocolate-y and they aren’t calling it Brazilian Graham cracker Pocky or Brazilian White Chocolate Pocky. I truly don’t get what’s Brazilian about this pudding Pocky save maybe the packaging. Are toucan’s particularly native to Brazil?

Mind you, it’s not a bad flavor because hello. Pocky! Notice the stylin chocolaty swoops at the Pocky tips too. I dig them quite a lot. They offset the light on light goo/stick thing, which I do not dig at all. It’s a particularly thin coated Pocky this time around as well although the flavor seems to hold strong.

As best as we could come up with, Brazilian pudding must be sweetened condensed milk flavor with a touch of chocolate thrown in for fun. One of my Guinea Pigs mentioned that the Brazilian Pocky has a tropical smell to it which he tried to peg as coconut. There isn’t any coconut in the ingredients list and they don’t taste of coconut but maybe Glico has found a way to infuse the spirit of coconut into their goo without actually having any coconut ingredients. It’s decently good but nothing to write home to mom about.

Rating of 3.5 wasabi peas out of a possible 5 wasabi peas.

I agree, I also found them to be good but not great, with a perplexing name.
