Bourbon Petit Choco Langue de Chat
And now the flip side miniature Nilla wafer-like sandwich cookies: Chocolate centered. These cookies are pretty much like their white centered cousins, down to the slight chemicalness in the flavor but also full of quasi shortbreadesque tastiness and very melt in your mouth. If Bourbon could get rid of the faint hint of manufactured these petite cookies would be most excellent but alas. They are just merely tasty with odd flavoring.
The chocolate center, again something thicker than the typical Oreo or other sandwich cookie filling but just a tad softer than actual chocolate, is surprisingly different than I expected. It’s a little more cocoa-y tasting than a dollop of plain chocolate would be (say your typical chocolate bar taste). It also has a pleasing hint of cocoa bitter along with the nice cocoa-y. Lastly, I think I like the mix of chocolate and Nilla-like cookies better than white chocolate and Nilla-like cookies. I can almost forget that there is that slight labby taste as well.
