Milk Pocky
Pocky, Pocky, whose got the Pocky? Why *I* do. How could I not? It’s not like they are going to ever run out of it…especially when they keep making new flavors. I kind of wonder if the Pocky division of Glico isn’t like that one X-Files episode where they had to keep traveling west or the dude’s head would explode. Except with less head ‘splody and more Pocky making. It sure does seem like they have made all possible flavors of Pocky and then BLAM (or maybe palunk? What it the sound of one Pocky being made?) A new flavor.
This new flavor to the JSFR, courtesy of DQ, is Milk Pocky. Right now, what I have to say about Milk Pocky is that I’m a little annoyed at it for melting on my computer. It is true that I was photographing outside on a nice summer day but still. Pocky goo on my ‘puter. Grumble. I also don’t like that they have light colored goo and a light colored stick. Meh.
Kudos though for a better milk taste than the Honey and Milk Pocky. Milk Pocky has a less dried milk taste and a more sweetened condensed milk thing going on. Which still isn’t the milky taste of actual milk but much much closer. It tends on the sweet side even for Pocky so those of you who cringe at the sweety sweet might want to pass this one by. The rest of you? Rock on with your bad sweet eating selves.
And of course, as always, the stick. In practice, the Milk Pocky is better than Honey and Milk Pocky but not as good as the 3.5 rated Pockys. 3.25 would be an excellent score but alas. No quarter peas. Thus, mentally add that missing quarter pea when you read the
Rating of 3 wasabi peas out of a possible 5 wasabi peas.

Aha! I knew that putting food and drink on a computer would someday be trouble! (okay, yeah, it’s not like the computer was damaged, but still…)
Yet another Pocky flavor I must look for.

Ooooooo! What sorts of Pocky do you have in mind, Bailey? I can see if I can acquire some around these parts because I’m always up for doing more reviews. It gives me an excuse to go out snack shopping. “I’m sorry favorite Guinea Pig, I have to go JSF shopping, my public demands it!” AWESOME! Also, it’s cool that you are willing to send some out my way but summertime isn’t the most ideal time to be shipping Pocky. It’ll get all melty and then I’ll have to lick out my mailbox. Yuck!
