Bakery Flat Style Bacon Cheese Pretz
Well Hua Xing snack campers, August is waning and with it comes the close of snacks purchased at that particular haunt. I think it’s only proper to close out with some (noir) Pretz as we bid August adieu.
Bacon and Cheese Pretz smell awesomely of bacon. They are smoky and piggy and all that wonderful bacon-y stuff, but if I may…they might perhaps be a bit too bacony. Yeah, I said it. Too bacony! Or at least they are trying awfully, awfully hard to let you know that they have BACON! The smoky hovers just that side of artificial smoke smell with a touch of burnt at the edges. I like my bacon crisp but I prefer it not to be on fire you know?
They have a good salty and a decent crunchy (they are a little less crispity than other Pretz but not as odd a crunchy as the Melon Pretz. More Ritz in texture, less pretzel) and an OK bacon flavor yet the cheese was a tad disappointing. Parmesan just didn’t do it for us and sort of got lost in the BACON SMOKY. Although, as one of my Guinea Pigs quipped “It’s not something I’d kick out of the food bowl in the morning.” Another Pig sat munching on them thoughtfully for a bit until she got a light bulb moment. They taste like the bacon form of Chicken in a Biskit. Bacon in a biscuit! And yes, they rather do.
For another look at Bacon Cheese Pretz, check out Snack Love. In fact, feel free to check out more than the Bacon Cheese Pretz (which they reviewed just earlier this month). Why did I not know this blog existed? It’s AWESOME! (Also? I’ve been taking notes! Heh)
Anyway, the Pigs and I thought the Bacon Cheese Pretz were good, but not as good as, say the Meets Wine Mild Cheese Pretz. So, because they are decent crunchy snacks and pretty snackable, we gave them a
Rating of 3.5 wasabi peas out of a possible 5 wasabi peas.

Hey! HI! And thanks! *blush*
I’m pretty geeked about finding your blog as well because you have a whole bunch of things on there I haven’t tried yet. Muahahahaha! Except now I have a dilemma: Do I hold off reading those reviews until I’ve done them myself to “keep objectivity” or do I read those reviews now and then try not to be influenced later. Hmmmm…that sounds like I need to go out snack buying either way. WHOOO!

Oh I know, it’s so hard! I wonder if some of my really positive green tea flavored snack reviews are to offset some of the negativity out there about green tea flavor…but I think I just really, really like green tea.
Looking forward to reading more of your reviews!
