Chocolate Crush Pocky

More Pocky? But ofCOURSE! Mmmm PockyPockyPocky and this Pocky is extra interesting because it has bits of cookie on the cookie coating goo! That’s cookierific. It’s also lumpy which I don’t mind so much, it makes it look like you are getting more Pocky for your buck. That is until you stand back and take a good look at Pocky Crush because hommie’s a little vertically challenged if you see what I’m saying. For reference, here’s some Pocky of yore in about the same sort of configuration…more or less

Notice that the Tahitian Pocky stretches across and even over the PowerBook blank space but Homeboy Crunch? Needs a ladder to reach the top of those last couple of millimeters. So yeah…Crunch Pocky is a bit stunty. It’s got some fantastic thick goo and the stick is about the same size in diameter but the goo and gooless portions are definitely not as long. My fingers kinda feel a touch claustrophobic hanging onto that wee space at the bottom of the Pocky.

As far as taste though, you’d hardly notice that you’re eating about 85% of a Pocky. The chocolate is the delicious semi dark Asian chocolate we’ve all come to know and love from Pocky (and other Asian delectables) and oh man, the crunch. Not only do you have the always sublime Pocky cookie crunch but the goo has little cookie crunchlets to augment the base crunch. Awesome! The only complaint my Guinea Pigs had was that after they had one, they wanted another.

Oddly enough, these aren’t so much a Pocky you would want to gorge on but rather a nice munching Pocky. One of the Pigs mentioned that two Crush Pocky were just the right number of Pocky and between photographing and reviewing, I am finding that indeed, two is about the perfect number of these Pocky. You *could* eat more but two sticks has just about everything you need to satisfy your Pocky craving. They may be small, but they certainly pack a Pocky wallop.

Rating of 4 wasabi peas out of a possible 5 wasabi peas.

Woah, I just poked through my Pocky reviews to discover that I have not reviewed either! Woot! Now I have an excuse to go JSFR shopping! (I remembered doing almond crush but it appears it was Pepero almond and not Pocky).
