Koala’s March (chocolate)
These critters fall under the Pucca/Panda heading since they are basically a filled bite sized cookie deelie. The outer cookie wrapping is not as sweet as one might expect, rather it is like a slightly sweetish very thin crunchy cracker. Say one of those Carr’s wheat crackers, but really, really thin. I was not so much impressed with the cookie, it was distinctly bland.
Inside the cookie shell was a dollop of chocolate that had been piped in from the tiny holes in the back. The chocolate was smooth and almost mouth melty but it too was rather bland. Badmovie thought the chocolate tasted “chocolaty” rather than like actual chocolate. I thought it tasted like thick paste that had maybe talked to some chocolate just before it was piped in to the cookie shell. All in all, the majority of my Guinea pigs were vastly underwhelmed with this particular snack food. Nothing about it was even worth noting, except that it was pervasively bland.
Wait, I take that back. Each Koala had a different picture on it. Some were playing triangles, some were bag piping, others were driving cars. It was all very amusing, although I’m not sure what “March” has to do with the driving Koalas. The instrument playing Koalas I can see, but some of the other pictures left me a bit baffled. Perhaps Koalas are marching to the tune of one very bland drummer? Whatever the answer, the pictures were worth half a pea point just for amusement. Including the half pea for amusement, Koala’s March (chocolate) scored a grand
Rating of 2.5 Wasabi Pea out of a possible 5.

I don’t know, maybe it’s a difference in location, but I bought both Koala March and Hello Panda at the big grocery store near my house, and I definitely liked Koala March better. Even my parents, who are not quite fond of Japan, agree, and buy Koala March on their own =)
